Our Mission

To impact the lives of all young people by providing participation in The First Tee's Life Skills Curriculum and its Nine Core Values through the game of golf, thereby instilling life enhancing values that encourage leadership, build character, foster community service and promote wellness.

Our Vision

The First Tee of Fort Worth will be a leading youth development organization within our community by positively influencing behaviors of young people and providing high quality programs and experiences, and guide adults to mentor, coach, volunteer, invest and advocate for our success.

Empowering Youth

The First TeeThe First Tee of Fort Worth delivers high-quality programs that build character and develop leadership skills... but what's just as important is that it's fun! These programs are designed around teaching young people the game of golf, as well as helping them understand and ultimately develop life lessons that include interpersonal skills, self-management, goal setting and resiliency skills as well as The First Tee Nine Core Values: Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy and Judgment.

Each lesson is designed to be exciting, interactive and engaging. Our coaches follow a philosophy centered on positively reinforcing a child's actions and ensuring a great experience, and the curriculum was developed by experts in the field of positive youth development through sport. Ultimately, as children progress through our programs, the activities and life lessons become more involved helping to build the character of the children we reach and equipping them with tools they can use to make good choices on and off the golf course.
