Our Mission

Helping Restore Ability envisions a future in which no Texan with a disability lacks the resources to live a full and independent life.

Who We Are and What We Do

Helping Restore Ability is a Tarrant County-based non-profit, started in 1977, offering the HRA Ability network a wide range of services, training, and resources for Texans with disabilities and the people who care for them.

We provide care
We train caregivers
We help navigate resources
With 5% administration and non-reimbursable costs, 95% of what is raised goes to client services

One in five people are living with at least one disability in America today. Factor in the growing number of Baby Boomers aging, and the result is a sharp increase in the number of adults and children that need services. HRA services offer independence, freedom and dignity to remain in their homes, continue to go to work or school, and live full and independent lives.
